Þórður Magnússon

Chairman of the Board of Directors

Magnusson is co-founder and chairman of Eyrir Invest. Prior to that, Magnusson was the CFO at Eimskip for over 20 years, and held seat on the boards of numerous Icelandic companies and organizations on behalf of Eimskip.

Board member of many Icelandic companies, including, Byko, Norvik and Sæbýli.

Former Board member of Stork Technical Services, Iceland Chamber of Commerce and the University of Reykjavik. Former Vice-Chairman of Ossur hf.
Magnusson has been an active VC-investor for many years and is among the founders of Marorka, Handpoint and other companies.

Ingvar Pétursson

Ingvar Pétursson has extensive experience in various executive roles within technology and finance. He recently retired from his role as EVP Technology and Finance at Nintendo. Prior to that, he was CIO at Expedia, CTO at Corbis, and CIO at AT&T Wireless.


Sigurlína Ingvarsdóttir

Sigurlína Ingvarsdóttir is an experinced leader in the gaming industry. SIgurlína’s past work includes includes Senior Producer status at CCP Games and, after a stint at Ubisoft, she joined EA DICE where she headed Star Wars Battlefront for three years before moving to Vancouver to define future strategy for EA Sports FIFA. She is now producing exciting things at Bonfire Studios, a new game startup in California.

Birna Ósk Einarsdóttir

Birna is part of the senior management team at APM Terminal as CCO.

Birna Ósk Einarsdóttir holds a degree in Leadership and Management from Háskóli Íslands (University of Iceland). Prior to joining APM she was the CCO at Icelandair Group.

Before that, Birna served as Chief Commercial Officer at Iceland Telecom and Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Landsvirkjun – the National Power Company of Iceland.

Stefanía G. Halldórsdóttir

Stefanía Guðrún Halldórsdóttir is the Managing Director of Eyrir Vöxtur. Stefanía worked for Landsvirkjun – Iceland’s largest power producer, where she was Executive Director of Marketing and Business Development. She previously worked at CCP Games as the General Manager in Iceland, and as a Senior Development Director in the Shanghai office. Before joining CCP Games, Stefania worked for over 10 years in energy technology, on energy solutions and business intelligence.

Eyrún Jónsdóttir

Eyrún Jónsdóttir is the VP of Publishing at CCP Games and member of the company’s senior management team. She has extensive experience in marketing, sales and brand management in entertainment, fashion and technology. Prior to joining CCP Eyrún worked on the award-winning children’s entertainment property LazyTown, children wear brand iglo+indi and at Oz. She holds a master’s degree in Management of Creative Business Processes from Copenhagen Business School.


Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir

Hrund Gunnsteinsson, Managing Director, Festa – Center for sustainability. Festa is a catalyst for change and a bridge builder between and within the public and private sector and focuses on sustainable development through the SDGs, climate change and corporate social responsibility in its broad sense.

Jóhann Þorvaldur Bergþórsson

Jóhann Bergþórsson is a technical leader with 10 years of mobile gaming industry experience. Previously CTO & co-founder of Dexoris, QuizUp, and Teatime Games, where he led the design of the technical architecture and recruited and nurtured engineering teams. He has twice released games that reached nr. 1 of the US App Store.


Magnús Ingi Óskarsson

Magnús Ingi Óskarsson, founder of Calidris. Founded Calidris in 1998 and completed a successful exit to Sabre in 2010. Continued until 2013 as VP at Sabre. Active VC investor.

Joshua Klein

Josh is a hacker who started breaking into university networks in middle school and ended up consulting to c-suite executives and government leaders alike. Along the way he’s written three books, hosted one TV Series on Nat Geo and two for Discovery, and written and participated in innumerable articles and interviews as well as hosting AdWeek’s “Thought Leadership Podcast of the Year” in 2021. From TED to Davos, IBM to Nike, VC funds to that startup down the street, Josh has addressed audiences of thousands and dozens. At present he lives EST and GMT, consulting to early stage startups and large multinationals alike on how to use the cutting edge of technology to maximize innovation. More information is available at
